1. Plan Your Video Page
Decide:
- Purpose: Showcase a single video or multiple videos.
- Layout: Full-screen video, video gallery, or sections with text.
- Content: Titles, descriptions, and additional information about the video(s).
2. Add a New Page in WordPress
- Log in to your WordPress dashboard.
- Navigate to Pages > Add New.
- Give the page a title, like “Pro Video Showcase.”
3. Add Video Content
Option 1: Embed a Video
- If your video is hosted on YouTube, Vimeo, or similar platforms:
- Copy the video URL.
- Paste it into a block on your WordPress editor (the block will automatically embed the video).
Option 2: Upload Directly to WordPress
- Go to Media > Add New to upload your video file (MP4 is recommended for compatibility).
- Use the Video block in the editor to insert your uploaded video.
Option 3: Use a Video Gallery
If you want to showcase multiple videos:
- Install a plugin like Envira Gallery or Video Gallery.
- Use the plugin to create a video gallery.
- Insert the gallery into your page.
4. Customize the Page
Use WordPress blocks or a page builder like Elementor to:
- Add a Hero Section: A large video banner or title at the top.
- Include Descriptions: Briefly explain what each video is about.
- CTA Buttons: Add buttons for “Watch Now,” “Download,” or “Learn More.”
5. Optimize for Performance
Videos can slow down your site. To ensure smooth performance:
- Use a reliable hosting platform for large videos or embed them from platforms like YouTube/Vimeo.
- Optimize video files before uploading using tools like HandBrake or Adobe Media Encoder.
6. Publish and Test
- Preview your page to ensure proper layout and functionality.
- Test the videos on mobile and desktop.
- Click Publish when you’re satisfied.
